| | Installations | | Installations Over the years with have designed, supplied, installed and commissioned bespoke engineering solutions for a variety of applications. Installations vary from a few meters of ductwork connected to a wood waste bag unit, to large extraction systems using high volume, continuous operation reverse jet filters and spray booths/rooms. We are also recommended installers for Nederman.
Airtec Filtration work with the customer to offer the most cost effective and efficient solution to meet all application needs. We are also backed by a team of engineers that pride themselves on quality and reliability of workmanship.
See below examples of recent case studies. |
| Spray Room Installation The spray room was designed to create a "down flow" form of extraction, which means that the air is drawn in through the ceiling and extracted away at low level along both sides of the booth. The paint laden air is drawn through specialist Andrea filter media to ensure cleaning before being exhausted to atmosphere.
During the colder months it is equally important that the booth is heated in addition to providing fume extraction. The heat is used to create a suitable working temperature but more importantly for drying the component once the painting is complete. In this case a 400Kw direct gas fired burner was used with variable temperature modulation from our control panel. The room was also designed to be user friendly with practical facilities such as electrically operated roller doors at either end, two personnel doors with vision panels, discreet fluorescent lighting and a remote control panel with auto and manual run facility.

| Nederman Filtermax and Down Draught Bench Installation This system was designed using a new Nederman Filtermax 9000 which is a reverse jet filter (compressed air cleaning mechanism) with a 15kw fan that produced a duty of 10,800m3/hr.
The filter was connected to a bespoke 3.2m long down draught bench. A down draught bench draws dust down through holes in the workbench and collects any heavies at the bottom, while the light dust is sucked through the filter, exhausting clean air out to atmosphere.

| Refurbished Airmaster RJX 300 Installation This system was designed using a referbished Airmaster RJX 300 filter which is a reverse jet filter (compressed air cleaning mechanism) with a 55kw fan that produced a duty of 34,000m3/hr.
Due to the size of the filter it was located outside and was therefore designed completely weather proof. A ladder and rails were designed to aid personnel access the filter for maintenance and inspection.

| Welding Fume Extraction Arms Installation In order to capture the weld fume, we designed, supplied and installed a number of weld fume extraction systems incorporating Nederman's "Capture at source fume extraction arm". A total of eight systems were installed each comprising of four; 3 & 4 metre extraction arms, to cover a radius of 2 metres around each welding station. To ensure that the breathing zone remains clear, an extraction volume of 800m³/h at the hood captures and contains any poisonous or hazardous substances, when captured, the fumes are conveyed through the ductwork system leading back to a high volume extraction fan. Once outside, the fumes are discharged to the atmosphere were dilution occurs very rapidly
